There are countless image processors out there, which can apply a few effects on your pictures. In certain cases, you may want to apply a discreet effect in a corner or a specific region, to cover a mistake or to make your image more interesting. Pixo SE makes this possible by providing you with a wide variety of predefined effects, which can be applied with a simple brush tool. You can instantly apply any effect, anywhere you want, without making any kind of configurations.

The software is free to try for 15 days, but you will not encounter any restrictions during this period. It works on all modern Windows platforms and it can be installed in less than a minute. The modest system requirements allow you to run this application on any mid-range computer.

The user interface is displayed in full screen mode at all times. Its tools and options are very well organized around the editing area. The available effects are listed as thumbnails on a tool pane, on the right side of the interface. All you have to do is select an effect, click an Apply button, located in the same area, and use a paint brush to apply the effect where you want to. Certain effects can be adjusted. For example, you can increase or decrease the strength of the Blur effect.

The brush tool can be selected on the left side of the interface, where you can also find a fill tool and options for cropping and framing the loaded image. Additionally, you can change the size of the brush and view the original picture, by clicking the appropriate options, located on the upper edge of the screen.

Pixo SE allows you to save your images in JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF or PDF format. Alternatively, you can print them or copy them to the clipboard. It is also possible to send the loaded image by email or upload it to Facebook or Photoblog.

Pros

You can apply numerous effects on your picture, with a simple brush tool. Additionally, the software allows you to adjust certain effects and the size of the brush, add a frame or crop the picture. Besides saving or printing images, you can also send them by email or upload them to social medias.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention. Pixo SE allows you to apply high quality effects on your pictures with nothing more than a few mouse strokes.
